Privacy policy

Who we are

moneycompare.ae is an independent UAE money comparison website. We compare credit cards, current and savings accounts, fixed deposits and money transfer products from UAE banks and providers. We are not a bank, insurance company, lender or licensed financial adviser. We do not hold, move or advise on money.

What data we collect

We collect data only when you actively submit it through a form on the site. The forms on moneycompare.ae are:

• Comparison enquiry form (hero form on most pages): name, email address, phone number (optional), and the product type you are comparing.
• Contact form (contact.html): name, email address, and message.
• Newsletter subscription (if present): email address only.

We do not run any analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking scripts. We do not collect browsing behaviour, device fingerprints or IP addresses directly.

How form data is processed

Form submissions are handled by FormSubmit.co, a third-party form service. When you submit a form, your data passes through FormSubmit's servers and is delivered to our inbox. FormSubmit's own privacy policy governs how they handle data in transit. We do not store form submissions in a database on our servers. Submitted data is held in our email inbox and used only to respond to your enquiry.

We include a honeypot field on all forms to filter automated spam submissions. This field is invisible to users and is never submitted with legitimate form completions.

Cookies and local storage

moneycompare.ae does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. We use browser session storage (cleared when you close the browser tab) for two functional purposes:

• mc_lang: stores your language preference (English or Arabic) within a session.
• mc_wa_shown: records that the WhatsApp chat popup has already appeared this session, so it does not reappear on each page.

These values are never transmitted to any server and contain no personal data.

Third-party services

The following third-party services are used on this site:

• FormSubmit.co: processes form submissions. Their privacy policy applies to data in transit through their service.
• Google Fonts (Manrope, Noto Kufi Arabic): web fonts loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log the request including your IP address per their own privacy policy. We are evaluating self-hosting these fonts to remove this dependency.
• WhatsApp: the chat button links to wa.me. Clicking it opens WhatsApp; WhatsApp's privacy policy governs that interaction.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or any other advertising or analytics trackers.

This site links to bank and provider product pages, and to sister sites in the UAE Compare network (mortgagecompare.ae, insurecompare.ae, loancompare.ae). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Check each site's own privacy policy before submitting data to them.

Data retention

Form submissions are retained in our email inbox for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to the enquiry and for record-keeping. You may request deletion of your submitted data at any time by emailing hello@moneycompare.ae. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Ask what data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent for us to contact you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy when the site's technology or data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page records when the current version was written. Material changes will be noted here.
